South Norwood Comedy Festival: Don Biswas & Ant Dewson

Fri 29 Jun

Don Biswas

On the surface Don Biswas is a straight forward and old fashioned gag merchant. However, he does talk about a wide variety of unique subjects from having dyspraxia and mild asperger’s syndrome. Also thrown into the mix is politics, interwoven with conspiracy theories, for that extra punch.

When discussing politics Don very much takes and alternative view on the subject, thus talking about the lack of choice available in the current system, mainstream media censorship to conspiracy theories, among other topics. However, all of this is done in a tongue and cheek way, with plenty of gag, meaning he is able to play to a wide variety of rooms.

His comedy has lead him to be a part of abnormally gunny people; a specialist comedy show for comics, who talk about their disabilities and difficulties. Don also has done school tour support for comedian John Williams solo shows.

Ant Dewson

Ant Dewson passed his Grade 6 piano exam when he was 14 – and he hasn’t got any better since then! Classical music’s loss was comedy’s gain, and Ant now puts his limited skills to good use performing silly songs at comedy clubs up and down the country.

Ant has shared the stage with some of the UK’s finest comedians including Harry Hill, Michael McIntyre, Frank Skinner, Micky Flanagan and Lee Mack. He has also shared the stage with some absolute shockers, all of whom he is much too polite to mention here.
